We have for sale a truly stunning sterling silver Blue John reversible pendant. It has been beautifully hand crafted in Sheffield, England. In a large teardrop shape with celtic style bale. It is set with a unique piece of Derbyshire Blue John on one side and Turritella Agate on the other. Hallmarked with the the letter X, and the Platinum Jubilee. A strong 21" sterling silver belcher chain is supplied. 

Blue John stone is a rare, semi precious mineral, fluorite, found at only one location in the world. This is at Treak Cliff Cavern which is at the western end of Hope Valley near Castleton in Derbyshire, England. The name Blue John derives from the French Bleu Jaune, meaning Blue John. It was first discovered by miners exploring the cavern for lead.

Turritella Agate is a Type of Chalcedony that is found in the green river beds of Wyoming in the U.S.A. With creamy brown to black colours it shows fossilised shells of the extinct Elimia Tenera snails and sea creatures.
