Body: Base of the spine, legs, feet, bones, groin, endocrine glands (ovaries and testes), rectum and immune system.

Function: Muladhara is your foundation for emotional and mental health. Survival, stability and feeling as though you have the right to exist in a physical form. To connect with the pulse of the Earth as this connection is vital in feeling safe, strong, secure and clear and in your life.

If unbalanced, you may be: Affected by survival issues such as stability, money, sex, food and success. Feeling the constant need to control / obsess, depleted energy, disconnection with yourself, lack of trust and on-going suffering. You may experience abandonment fears, a lack of family bonding and generally feel unsafe and unsupported.

Stimulants (how to balance this Chakra): Bring the colour RED forcefully into your life. Spend time in nature, walk barefoot and sit. Eat red foods. Enjoy regular physical exercise and restful sleep.
